Mark and I had a very treacherous drive to the airport the day that we left for vacation. Freezing rain. Sleet. Snow. We had the full gammet of nasty winter weather. Our biggest fear wasn’t that we would crash and die. Oh, no! Our biggest fear is that we would miss the plane and be stuck in the bitter cold of the Midwest!
We made it safely to Fort Lauderdale and spent the evening eating dinner in an open air bar, and then walked along the beach WITHOUT SWEATERS! It was heavenly.
This picture was taken with my point and shoot. No tripod. No specialized settings. This means there’s a bit of a blur, but that’s OK. It makes me happy to look at it because I know that I was warm when the photo was taken.
